Following sartorial nods to both Shirley MacLaine and Madonna, Sabrina Carpenter has (finally) transformed into the ultimate blonde bombshell: Marilyn Monroe. Thanks to a new Vogue photoshoot, the "Espresso" singer was the spitting image of the Old Hollywood icon, sporting bleach blonde curls, a red lip, and a custom Dolce & Gabbana corset dress for the magazine's March 2025 cover.

Carpenter's penchant for Old Hollywood glamour is evident both on and off the red carpet. At the Grammys, for example, the pop star opted for another baby blue ensemble, this time to perform on stage just before going on to win Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n' Sweet.

"This is—whoa—my first Grammy, so I’m gonna cry," Carpenter said during her acceptance speech. "But I wrote names, so I wouldn’t forget, on this napkin, but now it’s probably all messed up. But thank you to the Recording Academy for having me and having everyone here tonight in celebration and in honor of everything that’s happened...This is so special to me, and Short n’ Sweet means the world.”

Carpenter also won Best Pop Solo Performance for "Espresso," and received nominations for Best New Artist, Song of The Year, Album of The Year, and Record of The Year. Also nominated for the latter three awards? Her friend and fellow pop star Taylor Swift, who apparently inspired Carpenter's Short N' Sweet tour.
"Her stadiums make my shows look like clubs," Carpenter told Vogue of Swift's record-breaking Eras tour. "Watching her keep their attention as if she's playing in their living room, it was like—and I told her this—your tour enabled me to do mine."
