Sabrina Carpenter’s Fashion ‘Taste’ Results in ‘Breathtaking’ 2024 VMAs Red Carpet Look

Sabrina Carpenter is working late 'cause it's MTV's 2024 Video Music Awards.

The "Espresso" singer pulled out all of the stops for her outfit at the star-studded award show ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 11, where she showed up to the event wearing what appears to be an archival Bob Mackie beaded gown first worn by pop superstar Madonna at the 1991 Oscars.

Carpenter, 25, put her killer "Taste" in fashion on full display during the event, which took place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, as she embraced old Hollywood glam by rocking a deep red lip, champagne eyeshadow and tight, voluminous curls. Her long blonde hair was styled to frame her face and brush the top of her shoulders.

"A PULL FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS!!!" one X (formerly Twitter) user exclaimed.

"BREATHTAKING," another declared.

"Have to give her her 10s!" a third wrote. "I been begging for the girls to pull Bob!!!"

"i immediately recognised that dress but i was like 'no way it’s THE dress,'" someone else shared in disbelief.

"Her hair and dress...she won," a different fan gushed.

Carpenter has a big night ahead of her at this year's show, where she is not only among the nominees but also on the list of performers. Other artists who will be taking the VMAs stage include Chappell Roan, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, LL Cool J, Shawn Mendes and more.

Additionally, the "Nonsense" artist has been nominated for six awards, including Best Pop, Song of the Year for "Espresso," and Song of the Summer for "Please Please Please."

She is also among the nominees for Artist of the Year, alongside several other big names in the industry, including SZA, Eminem, Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny and of course, her close friend Taylor Swift.

Wednesday night's ceremony, hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, will air live on MTV and all Paramount channels beginning at 8 p.m. ET. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
