Ryan Seacrest tumbles to the ground on 'Wheel of Fortune'

A stunned Ryan Seacrest handled a tumble to the ground like a pro after an excited contestant on Wheel of Fortune accidentally knocked him down.

During a bonus round of the revered game show, contestant Daniel Thomas cracked a particularly challenging puzzle in the final moments of the 10-second timer, earning an additional $40,000. The overjoyed Thomas then gave Seacrest an enthusiastic hug so forceful that it sent the host tumbling to the ground of the soundstage.

"Oh my gosh! Are you OK?" yelped Thomas at the sight of Seacrest on the floor.

"I'm good! I'm good!" replied Seacrest in between laughs.

Interjected the narrator, "Daniel, easy on our host, but celebrate with $40,000!"

The puzzling clue in question was "living things," and Thomas was able to guess "guppies" in the final seconds. That brought his total to $71,950, which is certainly something to celebrate. Elsewhere in the clip, Seacrest jokingly backed away from Thomas after the latter asked, "Did I make you fall?"

"How did you do that in the last second?" Seacrest later inquired.

"Push you over or solve the puzzle?" quipped Thomas. "I don't know! I was looking up at the used letter board and I saw 'P' and it just popped into my head." He added of the tackle, "I'm so sorry!"

The bonus round was shared on the show's official YouTube channel, and Seacrest introduced the segment alongside Vanna White with the following sentiment: "Throw me over, tackle me — I'm totally fine with it."

There's never a dull moment on the show. Just a few weeks ago former contestant Rhea Mathew returned to the stage under the ruse of helping celebrate the show's 50th anniversary, only to be surprised by her boyfriend with a proposal. It was elaborately staged with a puzzle phrase of "Will you marry me?" which Mathew correctly guessed before her now-fiancé appeared on stage to pop the question.
