Russell Crowe offers Bindi Irwin his estate for wedding

While a date for Bindi Irwin’s wedding has not yet been made public, we may have already gotten a good idea about where the celebrations are likely to be held.

After announcing her engagement to beau of six years Chandler Powell last week, it seems the pair might be spoiled for choice when it comes to a venue.

Long-time family friend Russell Crowe has reportedly offered Bindi his sprawling estate in Nana Glen, near Coffs Harbour, NSW, for use on her wedding day.

“He has a chapel there, and he would be so proud for it to be the place Bindi marries Chandler,” a source told Woman’s Day.

“He loves Bindi like a daughter.”

A wedding at the zoo

The couple, of course, could also consider Australia Zoo as their venue, given it’s also the site of the proposal.

There are plenty of romantic nooks inside the zoo grounds that could be used for the ceremony and it would also mean the wildlife-loving couple could have animals or even the public involved in their special day.

Could Bindi Irwin’s wedding be televised?

The newly-engaged 21-year-old revealed over the weekend she wants to televise her upcoming wedding to her 22-year-old fiancé Chandler.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the young conservationist admitted she’s been “wondering” about sharing her nuptials on TV, but that it “depends on season three of Crikey! It’s the Irwins.”

Bindi went on to confirm season two of the reality show - which is filmed at Australia Zoo and also stars her mum, Terri and brother Rob - will “have some engagement exclusives on the show”.

Russell Crowe’s $25k gift to Bindi

While Bindi was inundated with congratulations from her celebrity friends - both for her 21st birthday and the engagement - Russell Crowe is said to have gone above and beyond with his gift.

Terri reportedly said the actor gave Bindi a $25,000 Rolex watch, which Russell believed her dad 'would have wanted' her to have, according to the Daily Mail.

Bindi shared the exciting news that she and Chandler Powell were engaged last week.

“July 24th 2019. On my birthday I said ‘yes’ and ‘forever’ to the love of my life,” Bindi shared in a post on Instagram, alongside photos showing off her new bling.

Bindi’s childhood sweetheart, 22-year-old Chandler, also took to his Instagram page to gush over his future wife, writing: “She said YES”.
