What is Running Point about?
The series is the story of the "f----- up family" that runs the "greatest basketball franchise in the history of the game." Running Point follows Hudson's character Isla Gordon, who in Season 1 was made president of the Los Angeles Waves by her brother Cam Gordon after he steps down from the role and goes to rehab.
How did Season 1 of Running Point end?
With a cliffhanger! The Los Angeles Waves ended up losing Game 7 in the finale, meaning they won't be advancing to the Western Conference Finals. Following the team's loss, Coach Jay and Isla—who is unsure of where she stands with her fiancé Lev after asking him to not move to Minnesota earlier in the episode—share a passionate kiss. While the night was "kind of weird" for Isla, she heads to work the next day, ready to begin a new season in her life.
"I got this. This is mine now. I can do it," Isla thinks, before finding Cam sitting at her desk.
“Hey, what’s up, sis?" he says. "I’m back!”
Will Cam take back his role as the president of the Waves? We'll just have to wait and see what Isla's next move is.
