Ruffles Fans are Searching High and Low for Zesty New Flavor: ‘I Must Have These’
As much as I love big, explosive flavors, when it comes to chips, I’m a pretty simple guy. Save for the occasional salt and vinegar, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos or honey barbecue flavor—a simple bag of original Lay's and I’m good to go. It’s not that I don’t enjoy the bolder flavors of Sizzlin’ Cheeseburger Doritos or Beer Can Chicken Pringles, but there’s something about enjoying a plain, crispy, perfectly salted potato chip that just feels right.

Their flavor is relatively neutral making them a perfect vehicle for dips and sauces, you can use them to crust chicken without imparting unwanted flavors, they’re great on top of casseroles and pies—the options are literally endless. That being said, sometimes a departure from the norm is not only a good idea, but absolutely necessary and the latest flavor innovation from Ruffles might just make me change my tune.
According to the flavor-obsessed internet sleuths on the r/JunkFoodFinds Reddit thread, Ruffles just launched a new Greek Style Ranch flavor that’s got fans saying they “would eat the whole bag.” The bags have reportedly been spotted at Costco and may be an exclusive, but judging by the fervor from fans hoping to try them, we wouldn’t be surprised if these got a larger roll out. The chips are rumored to have a “really good ranch flavor” balanced by “lemon and dill” with just a hint of “parmesan.”

Reactions from fans ranged from, “Oooh these actually look good” to “I must have these!!” For those of you eagle-eyed foodies out there, it’s worth noting that the flavor of these chips sounds similar to a traditional tzatziki sauce minus the cucumber. Now that’s a chip I can get behind. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could sprinkle these onto your double stuffed lamb gyro for an extra bit of crunch or keep a bag in your purse to enjoy when you pick up Cava.
Either the lunar eclipse is already working its magic or maybe I’m not just a plain Lay's guy after all. Ah, progress.
