Demi Lovato Responded After People Noticed Her Hands Were "Shaking" In A TikTok Cooking Video
Demi Lovato addressed comments that her hands were "shaking" in a new TikTok video, and thank goodness because people were seriously freaking out.
It all started yesterday when Demi, who uses she/they pronouns, took to TikTok to share a recipe for roasted chicken. "On ✨Cooking With Demi✨ we are all about facing our fears," she said in the caption. "Today we did that by trying out a recipe for a whole roasted chicken."

The video follows Demi from start to finish as they prep, season, and roast the chicken. Demi told viewers how "nervous" and "afraid" she was to handle raw meat — and they could tell because her hands were very clearly trembling.
One person commented, "I'm afraid of seeing her shaking that hard 🥹," which led to a direct reply from Demi. She wrote, "I'm okay! I promise 🖤"
Demi said they'd also try to use gloves next time so they're more comfortable handling raw chicken.
The singer launched the cooking series in July 2024 as a way "to find freedom and joy again with food." She has been incredibly open in the past about the eating disorder she had in her teens and how her team would "control" what she ate.
"For many years, I didn't even have a birthday cake. I had a watermelon cake," they told Ellen in 2020, "where you cut your watermelon into the shape of a cake and you put fat-free whipped cream on top and that was your cake."
Now, cooking is healing for them and a way of "rebelling against [the eating disorder]." "It's one aspect of rebellion in my life that hasn’t gotten me into trouble," Demi told Teen Vogue in September.
Watch their cooking videos now on TikTok — but don't be surprised if you see them freaking out again. This is raw food we're talking about here, people!
