Dutch skateboarder Roos Zwetsloot says her father had a hilarious reaction to watching her compete in the women's street event at the Summer Olympics.

The 24-year-old pro has her entire family in Paris supporting her at the 2024 Games, but Zwetsloot says that both her mother and father sometimes have trouble watching her competitions due to concerns she'll get injured.

Following the women's street competition at Place de la Concorde on Sunday, July 28 – where Zwetsloot earned a 233.71 score – she tells PEOPLE, "I think I saw my mom at the practice but then she walked away."

"I didn't see her in the crowd anymore," Zwetsloot continues, explaining, "I think she doesn't like me to fall."

What's more, Zwetsloot shares, "My father...he said he's happy he has a pacemaker."

The Utrecht, Netherlands native – who competed in women's street skateboarding in the 2020 Tokyo Games, coming in fifth place – says her parents aren't so concerned with how well she performs in the Games.

"It's not really about the result, I'm getting injured. So my mom, she's like, 'I'm just hoping you're okay and it doesn't matter what happened,'" says Zwetsloot, adding, "It's nerve-wracking."

Both Zwetsloot's mother and father, as well as her sister, sister's boyfriend and a handful of friends from Amsterdam, are in Paris supporting her in her second Olympic Games.

Following her first event, Zwetsloot tells PEOPLE she's "feeling okay" about her performance on the course. "Yeah, I did some tricks and I don't know if it's enough, but I'm happy with three scores and hopefully I can show more in the finals if that's possible," says the athlete, who began skateboarding "just for fun" when she was 12 years old.

When she hits the ramp, Zwetsloot says her favorite pump-up music is a mix between Michael Jackson and obscure Dutch artists.

"I like Michael Jackson, like 'Beat It,' you know, and Dutch music. Like what you hear in a café, like bad music, that bad music you hear there," she says with a laugh.

The women's street event saw the best and brightest skateboarders from all over the world in a variety of age groups competing for the gold. Zwetsloot's opponents on Sunday included Brazilian Rayssa Leal, 16, Chloe Cavell from Australia and Cui Chenxi of China, both 14.
