Robin Quivers shows off bald look on“ Stern Show”, reveals she's worn wigs to work since losing hair to chemo

Howard Stern's longtime cohost said she only wears wigs while recording the show.

Robin Quivers is publicly embracing a new look.

In an appearance on SiriusXM’s Stern Show Summer School Wednesday, Howard Stern’s longtime cohost discussed losing her hair during cancer treatment as she sported a bald ‘do on camera for the first time.

“Well, it’s my normal hairdo,” she said. “I lost my hair in the second round of chemo I had to take in 2017, so I’ve been like this since then.”

Quivers noted that she only wears a wig when appearing on the show.

“Back then there was no time to make decisions, and I started wearing wigs because I just didn’t know what to do,” she said. “But in general, I don’t wear that wig anytime but on the show. The only reason you don’t see my head like this is because I freeze in the wintertime, because all the time the heat goes out of your head, I’m very much aware of that now. So I have to cover my head in the wintertime.”

The radio personality went on to say that one of her co-workers thought her wiglessness on yesterday’s episode was a mistake.

“I don’t wear a wig every day, all the time,” Quivers said. “One of my helpers here saw me walking into the studio area, and said, ‘Don’t forget your wig!’ and I said, ‘No, I’m showing them a new look today.’”

Quivers underwent a hysterectomy and was diagnosed with stage 3C endometrial cancer in 2012. After 15 months of chemotherapy and radiation, she announced that the cancer was in remission, and she was cancer-free for three years beginning in 2013.

The cancer returned in December 2016, however, though she still receives occasional immunotherapy infusions, Quivers said that it’s not nearly as intrusive as the first time. “It’s never been a huge problem,” she told PEOPLE in 2023. “When it’s shown some growth, then we have to manage that.”
