Robert Irwin 'set to leave Australia Zoo' to be with his girlfriend in WA

Australia Zoo zookeper Robert Irwin is said to be contemplating flying the nest to be with Rorie Buckley.

They debuted their relationship on the red carpet in July and it seems things between Robert Irwin and his girlfriend, Rorie Buckley are moving fast.

In fact, Robert and Rorie are apparently so smitten with each other that the 19-year-old Australia Zoo zookeeper is planning on leaving the family business behind so he can move to Western Australia to be with his love.

According to Woman’s Day, the distance from Robert’s home in Queensland to 19-year-old Rorie’s in WA is getting too much for the duo.

Rorie, who is the niece of the late Heath Ledger, is finishing her studies in WA and Robert apparently wants to join her there so they can see more of each other.

“It’s a real pain,” a source told Woman’s Day.

“Right when they really want to explore their relationship, they have this hellish distance between them.”

However, it’s believed Robert’s mother, Terri Irwin, is slightly concerned about how fast the pair are moving and has instead put forward the idea that Rorie and her family should come to visit Australia Zoo for Christmas.

Robert and Rorie went public with their relationship at the Sydney premiere of Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One.

The couple looked loved-up as they posed for waiting photographers in matching black outfits.

Robert gazed adoringly into Rorie’s eyes in one photo, as placed a loving arm around her waist.

It’s believed Robert is also reportedly close with Rorie's cousin, Matilda Ledger, with the pair reportedly bonding over having lost their fathers at such young ages.
