Robert Irwin left red-faced over Sunrise gaffe live on air
Robert Irwin is ‘in so much trouble’ with pregnant sister Bindi Irwin after a comment he made about her bump on Sunrise.
The 17-year-old made the blunder while appearing on the Channel Seven show with his mother, Terri Irwin, to promote the new series of their reality show, Crikey! It's the Irwins.
Terri was talking about Bindi’s due date, revealing her baby with husband Chandler Powell will arrive next month.
“It’s that sweet spot where you really miss being able to see your shoes,” Terri joked.
Robert turned to the camera and said “she’s massive now”, with his mother punching him in the shoulder as the Sunrise hosts said ‘stop it' while laughing.
Robert seemed to realise his mistake straight away, trying to backtrack by saying: “ I mean in a good way, no like it’s special.”

“She doesn’t need to hear that,” Kochie joked, with Samantha Armytage adding: “Spoken like a true little brother”.
A red-faced Robert Irwin then said: “I'm in so much trouble.”
During the same segment, Terri Irwin revealed the adorable way Bindi and Chandler announced the news that they were expecting their first child together.
“We were all out in the bush and had been jumping on crocs and attaching trackers all day. We were all sitting around the campfire and she[Bindi] just says "by the way..."' Terri said.
“We all picked names and laughed and cried and it has been so special and she is due next month.”
Bindi took to Instagram in August to reveal her exciting news, holding up a tiny baby-sized khaki Australia Zookeeper outfit in an adorable photo.
“Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021,” she started the post.
“Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you.”
On March 25th, Bindi and and Chandler married in a ‘small ceremony’ at Australia Zoo after being forced to move everything forward due to the coronavirus.
Bindi’s dashed to tie the knot before restrictions come into effect in Australia, which only allowed five people to be present.
