Robert and Bindi Irwin divide The Project viewers with 'cringe' interview

Robert and Bindi Irwin have divided The Project viewers after the I'm A Celebrity host interviewed his sister while guest hosting the show on Sunday night. Bindi appeared on the show to promote her new book, You Are A Wildlife Warrior, with the pair offering each other countless compliments throughout the chat.

"Bindi, I am so excited, every single thing you hit, you hit with such passion, with positivity, it doesn't matter how difficult a time it is, you are always fighting the good fight and I know how hard you've worked on this book," Robert began the chat.

Host Rachel Corbett referenced the pair's relationship, saying, "It is so nice to see the relationship you both have, you've both achieved so many wonderful things, is it really nice to be seeing the other one kick goals?"

"I am so happy, so excited that Robert has taken the torch. I really love sharing our message of wildlife conservation, but it's really nice that Robert is doing all the things," she said with a laugh, referencing Robert's TV career.

"I'm following in your footsteps, Bindi!" Robert responded.

Bindi joked that as the "fashionable Irwin" it makes sense that he's "in front of the camera".

"I mean, honestly, I am so proud of you," Bindi added.

"You worked on this book in the throes of the endometriosis struggle you went through so publicly," Robert said. "You came out the other side being an advocate for endo, a continuous advocate for our natural world. This is a gift for the world – to the younger generations."

He added, "So, thank you, for always approaching everything with such a sense of selflessness and absolute courage, you truly are amazing, Bindi."

"Oh, I'm going to cry!" Rachel joked.

Fans react to Robert and Bindi's sweet relationship

Fans were quick to share their thoughts about the siblings and their relationship, with one user writing on X, "This made me really emotional and it just warms my heart to see their incredible bond."

"These guys are the best humans 🫶🏻," an Instagram user wrote.

"I love this relationship. Every time I watch these 2 legends they just amaze me. One of the best siblings. Great job on The Project by the way Rob you smashed it," another said.

"The relationship between Bindi and Robert is also a testimony to what great parents they have," a Facebook user shared.

While most fans loved the pair's relationship, some thought it was a little bit "cringe".

"Nothing will top this level of cringe, Irwin kids telling each other how amazing they are. Vomittttt," one X user said.

Another described them as "double the annoyance", while someone else said, "I can't stand two over the top Irwins."
