Riley Keough got arrested for breaking and entering as a teen, had to call mom Lisa Marie Presley to bail her out
To make matters worse, Keough revealed that her mom was in Las Vegas at the time and so she ended up sending "my aunt to come get me" out of jail instead.
Contrary to her grandfather Elvis’ lyrics, Riley Keough learned the hard way that landing in the jailhouse does not, in fact, rock.
The Daisy Jones & the Six star, 35, revealed on the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast that she was once arrested for breaking and entering as a teen and had to call her mom, the late Lisa Marie Presley, to bail her out of jail.
“I would sneak out and hang out with people I shouldn't, wasn't allowed to, and getting arrested,” Keough said of her rebellious phase as a teenager. When host Alex Cooper asked Keough if she’d genuinely gotten arrested before, the actress admitted, “I did. I've never said that… I was arrested once.”

The From Here to the Great Unknown co-author explained that her run-in with the law occurred when she was a minor and that, to this day, she’s never actually seen her mugshot.
“It was for… I can't say this! It was for breaking and entering,” Keough continued. “I went to a party at my friend's house but I didn't know that it wasn't my friend's house, it was a house for sale. The police came and most people got away, and then about ten of us got arrested.”
Still, one thing was for certain. “My mom was pissed,” Keough recalled, noting that Lisa Marie didn’t try to hide her daughter's arrest from the press. “She was like, ‘This is on you girl.’ Luckily, it wasn't in the papers.”
To make matters worse, Keough revealed that her mom wasn’t even in the same city as her when she was taken into police custody. “She was in Las Vegas, and I had to call her and tell her to come back from Vegas and pick me up in prison,” she said. “I’ve never told anyone this!”
She added, “She's like, ‘I can't get there.’ So she sent my aunt to come get me.”
She still made sure that Keough paid the price for her behavior, though. “I was grounded,” Keough added. “Oh yeah. I was grounded for like three months, and I was grounded on my 16th or 15th birthday or something.”
Lisa Marie, the only daughter of Elvis and ex-wife Priscilla, died Jan. 12, 2023 from complications related to bariatric surgery. Earlier this week, her family members, including Keough, took to social media to pay tribute to the one-of-a-kind musician on the second anniversary of her unexpected death.
"I can't believe it's been 2 years," Keough wrote in an Instagram Story. "I miss you and love you so much mama."
