Rihanna Shines Bright Like a Diamond in Crystal Mesh Alaïa Dress as She Steps Out at New York Fashion Week
The singer changed into the dazzling outfit after giving a surprise speech at the 'Daily Front Row''s Fashion Media Awards
Rihanna is shining bright like a diamond!
On Friday, Sept. 6, the Savage X Fenty mogul, 36, dressed to impress as she made an appearance on the front row at the Alaïa show at New York Fashion Week wearing a dazzling crystal-covered mesh dress by the designer.
Rihanna's glittering outfit featured draping sleeves and an off-the-shoulder corset top, and she teamed the semi-sheer look with a pair of matching stiletto heels for the event, which was held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
Earlier in the evening, the "Lift Me Up" singer wore a corset-style pale pink Alaïa dress, which featured a thigh-high slit down the middle, as she made a surprise appearance at Daily Front Row's Fashion Media Awards, held at the Rainbow Room.

Rihanna teamed the glam get-up with a matching baby pink teddy coat, which she took off to deliver a surprise speech for her fashion editor friend Jahleel Weaver. Weaver was honored with the magazine of the year award at the bash alongside Perfect Magazine founder Katie Grand.
Rihanna teamed her second look with a pair of nude lace-up heels, offering a glimpse of her matching corset underneath the semi-sheer ensemble.
During her speech, the musician explained how she got called to do the honors "less than 36 hours ago" and had written it in the car "because it's my friend."

She said of Weaver, who is her stylist and the creative director of Fenty Beauty, "This evening, I'm here to present an award to someone who's very special to me," adding, "Someone who I've watched grow and evolve over the years. I saw you from a fashion baby, in your fashion diapers."
"I was also in my fashion diapers at the time and I've been privy to witness you in all of the layers, all of the things that people, most people will not be able to even experience with you," Rihanna added.
"But you have been such a pinnacle to my growth and the fashion aspect of all things. I'm so proud of you," the musician told Weaver.

She insisted, "All of the things that you've been able to do on your own alongside me. I'm not about to cry mother------ like, you know, and now I'm going off the speech that I wrote."
"But, you're someone I watched evolve into a scientist, a specialist, a student and a teacher," she said, later adding, "I get nervous as s--- talking in front of pretty people."
"But, tonight it was worth it," the mother-of-two insisted, before inviting Weaver and Grand up to the stage.
