“Music was the thing that got the attention, but God had other plans for me, and I was able to create in ways that were very sincere, genuine, organic and authentic to the things that I love,” she reportedly said during the event in the Caribbean location on Thursday, Nov. 7.

Though the singer was featured on 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack with the release of "Lift Me Up," the mom of two hasn't dropped a full project since Anti in 2016—something her fans don't let go unnoticed.

Over the past decade, the Bajan billionaire has focused on building her own personal empire instead, with the launch of several successful brands such as Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, Fenty Hair, and Savage X Fenty—in addition to partnerships in the fashion and beauty industries keeping her busy (she recently dropped a new sneaker collection with Puma).

"She’s basically saying she’s retired," one wrote on X (formerly Twitter), coinciding with a T-shirt the "Rude Boy" songstress previously wore communicating the same thing.

"So… we’ll never get another album," another chimed in, with a third assuming, "Not her trying to soft launch her music retirement," in part.

Meanwhile, someone else admitted, "I lowkey feel bad about people pressuring her to release music," and an additional social media user pointed out, "Artists are humans first. They have a right to evolve."

"Rihanna reminding everyone that her empire is bigger than music. Turning her passion into Fenty Beauty and redefining the game was no accident. Love her or hate her, you have to respect the pivot," a separate supporter acknowledged.

Fans had been hopeful that at some point, the "Diamonds" hitmaker would return with a standout musical body of work, but from the looks of it, the 36-year-old has her sights set on other things at this stage of life, a well-deserved next step after finding success with music at the young age of 16.
