Rihanna Gets Seriously Feisty With Trump Fans Commenting On Her Election Post

Rihanna may not be able to vote in the election, but she’s making it clear who she stands behind.

On Instagram Monday, the Barbadian singer posted a video of herself in a vehicle, joking, “POV: me trying to sneak into the polls with my son’s passport #votecauseicant.”

She added in the caption, “when protecting pussies and firing pussies can happen all in one vote,” adding the hashtag #TanSuitSeason. Ostensibly, this was an endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris, who has campaigned on protecting abortion rights and followed Barack Obama’s lead in wearing a tan suit this election season.

But the “Diamonds” singer’s joke didn’t land with some commenters, who echoed Donald Trump’s familiar refrains baselessly accusing Democrats of voting illegally.

“That attitude is why we want to make America geeat again. You want to cheat to win. So disappointing,” one person wrote.

Rihanna wrote back, “Lol! When yall stop burning ballot boxes come check me.”

Another comment on the post read: “Illegal voting is a crime. Maybe she should be arrested for trying.”

“Shut up Karen,” Rihanna fired back.

“I voted for closed borders, deportations, and staying out of foreign conflicts,” another social media user wrote, apparently referring to the Republican nominee’s plans for mass deportations. “Abortions are probably nowhere near as important as y’all are making it seem.”

“You’re fucked!” replied Rihanna. “And so is the America you dream of. Hope you don’t have to find out the hard way.”

Another user argued about securing the U.S. border, saying that “there is a right and wrong way to come inside” and “the people who are against having a secure border are essentially saying it’s okay to break a window & enter in that way.”

“Where were you in Jan 6 sis?” Rihanna responded, referring to the day in 2021 when Trump supporters illegally stormed the U.S. Capitol, causing millions of dollars of damage. “Stick to your discounted crotch. We out here fighting for its rights!”

Rihanna did not hold back.

The singer, whose legal name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, immigrated to the U.S. from Barbados in 2005 to pursue her music career. She’s one of the bestselling recording artists of all time and the owner of a beauty empire that made her a billionaire.

She’s been outspoken about her politics in the past. In 2019, she slammed Trump over his immigration policies and his lack of action on gun violence. She sent him a cease-and-desist letter in 2018 to stop using her music at his events.
