Rhys Ifans to Lead For All Mankind Spinoff Star City at Apple TV+

Rhys Ifans is heading straight to the moon: The House of the Dragon actor will lead Apple TV+’s Star City, a spinoff of the streamer’s space series For All Mankind, TVLine has confirmed.

Ifans will play the role of Chief Designer, the driving force behind the Soviet Space program. The series will cover an “alt-history retelling of the space race — when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon,” according to the show’s official description. “But this time, we explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humanity forward.”
