Renee Zellweger Goes Strapless in Haute Pink With Hugh Grant at ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy’ for London Premiere Red Carpet
Renée Zellweger channeled her character Bridget Jones’ penchant for pink at the world premiere of “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy” on Tuesday in London.
The actress looked vibrant in a vintage hot pink strapless gown from Pierre Balmain’s Fall 2000 haute couture collection, which featured a dramatic train. She paired burgundy heels and a statement cocktail ring with her look.

She posed with her co-star in the film, Leo Woodall, who plays her character’s love interest. Woodall sported a brown velvet suit, which he wore over a black shirt.
Zellweger hit the pink carpet at the Leicester Square premiere one day after she made an appearance at the film’s Paris debut. There, she wore a striking floor-length Saint Laurent gown. The actress’ one-shoulder lace dress featured floral detailing throughout and a scalloped neckline. She paired black pointed-toe pumps with her look, and opted to wear her hair in an updo.
Zellweger was joined at the event by co-stars Hugh Grant, Oscar-nominated actor Chiwetel Ejiofor and Woodall. Grant selected a black velvet suit for the premiere, while Ejiofor went for a black double breasted jacket and trousers. Woodall was slightly more casual — but still cool — in a leather bomber and trousers.
“Bridget Jones: Made About the Boy” follows the titular character navigating life as a widow and single mom. Once on dating apps, however, she finds one young man and potentially her son’s science teacher are interested in her. The film hits theaters on Feb. 13.
The movie is Zellweger’s first major film since her Oscar-winning turn in “Judy,” a biographical film about the late Judy Garland’s time performing in 1968 London months before her untimely death at the age of 47.
