The publication shared the cover photo on Instagram, with Zellweger, 55, shining in the black-and-white image. She posed with a soft smile on her face as she modeled a white shirt, loose pants and a chic coat. Her hair was casually edgy, short on the sides and a little longer on top.

British Vogue revealed that the haircut was inspired by David Bowie, with hairstylist Syd Hayes saying, "When you’re cutting someone’s hair short, they’ve got to want to do it – it’s them who has to love it. [Zellweger] was so open to it. It wasn’t about Bridget, but more about her as a person.”

In other photos from the shoot, Zellweger embraced the androgynous look of the haircut, wearing pants, button-up shirts and oversized jackets that added to the stylish and sophisticated look.

Fans were stunned by the change in style, with one writing in the comments, "Love the short hair! Rene IS BRIDGET JONES and there could never be another!"

"She looks Spectacular in this spread! The Brits get you René!" said another, while a third wrote, "She’s on fire! What drop dead gorgeous photos all of these are!❤️‍🔥."
