Husband’s X-rated Zoom blunder leaves wife 'livid'
A husband has landed himself in hot water with his wife after making an X-rated blunder during an online game night with friends.
The hapless hubby ended up revealing that his female spin class instructor was the ‘dream woman’ he’d love to bed — not his partner. Ouch.
The incident left him feeling ‘sad and confused’ — and his wife ‘livid and upset’ — so naturally he took to Reddit’s notorious ‘AITA’ (that’s ‘Am I The Asshole’) thread to find out if he was the one in the wrong.
“So my wife and I have been doing a game night every so often with some other couples via Zoom since we can’t go out and see people lately,” he wrote.
He went on to explain that he and his wife were playing a trivia-style game in which couples battle it out to prove which duo knows one another the best by answering questions on one another’s behalf.
“So some of the questions in this version were a little spicy and one of the questions was, ‘Who is your dream man/woman to have sex with?’ I wrote down my spin instructor since my wife knows I think she’s hot, and thought she’d guess her and we’d get a point,” he wrote.
“Well, f*ck me, turns out every other husband either wrote down their wife or a celebrity/fictional character,” he added.
His answer didn’t go down well nor did his attempts to explain himself.
“My wife was livid, and upset. I tried to explain I didn’t actually want to do anything with my spin instructor and I would never even briefly consider being unfaithful, it was just me trying to play the game. She doesn’t believe me, saying everyone else’s instinct was [to pick] women who didn’t exist or better yet, their wives.”
“I feel really bad, but also really confused. I don’t know how to deal with this. Is she overreacting or am I an asshole?” he asked his fellow Reddit users.
Well, they did not hold back in their criticism, swiftly telling the man ‘YTA,’ which is Reddit lingo for ‘You’re The Asshole’.
“YTA. Who humiliates their wife in front of friends? Oh...right..... You do. I would strongly suggest you quit your spin class immediately and spend as much time and effort as it may take grovelling to win back your wife's trust. Good grief man,” one user wrote in the comments.
“There's a lesson to be learned in all of this. Always say your spouse or a famous person if you're not allowed to say your spouse,” advised another.
“Yeah it'd be one thing if he said Kate Upton. But his spin Instructor? Aka someone attainable? Big no,” one user agreed.
Epic Zoom fails
With many of us turning to video chat platforms like Zoom to stay connected in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, there’s been no shortage of epic fails.
In April, not one but two naked husbands made unintentional cameos in their wives’ live streams from the family bathroom.
And in May, a mum-of-three shared how she accidentally flashed her daughter's first-grade class on Zoom after a shower.
Aussie prankster Hamish Blake also caused a stir by dropping into people’s work and school Zoom calls at random.
“I was at a wedding reception, I’ve been to a thirtieth, I’ve been to a fortieth, I go to a lot of staff meetings, I spent most of yesterday in staff meetings,” the cheeky chap told the Fitzy & Wippa show.
