Rebel Wilson has shared that she has already hit her goal weight of 75kg a month before the end of the year.
The 40-year-old actress famously called 2020 her "Year of Health" as she embarked on a weight loss journey to feel healthier and fitter than ever before and all the hard work has paid off.
"Hit my goal with one month to spare!" Rebel wrote in an Instagram Story showing the scale at 74.6kg. "Even though it's not about a weight number, it's about being healthy, I needed a tangible measurement to have as a goal and that was 75kg's."
The Pitch Perfect star has been showing off her newfound confidence as a result of the weight loss on Instagram over the year and revealed she'll be doing a live video this week to "thank everyone for their support".
Rebel is currently in Austria where her Year of Health kicked off at the VIVAMAYR retreat.
According to People Magazine, following the Mayr Method has been instrumental in changing Rebel's habits.
"It's an approach that eliminates food intolerances, reduces sugar, encourages eating whole foods slowly, boosts the immune system and reduces inflammation," a source shared.
"She exercises with a personal trainer up to six times a week, goes on walks and is trying to up her protein intake nutritionally."
Speaking with the publication, Rebel revealed before she embarked on her health journey, she was eating 3000 calories a day.
"Before I was probably eating 3000 calories most days, and because they were normally carbs, I would still be hungry," she said.
"So, I’ve really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn’t used to eat a lot of meat."
Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle, Rebel's trainer Jono Castano shared the "most important" factor in Rebel's weight loss journey.
"I'd say her consistency has been the most important thing, if you're consistent and you're getting amazing results then it's just going to continue to show, even if it's not just in your appearance, but it's also going to help in bringing out the best in you," he said.
"We sometimes forget about what fitness and results actually does, it's not just about losing weight, it gives you so much more confidence."
Rather than attempting a 12-week challenge or something else short-term, Rebel understood it would take time to make real lifestyle changes and has focused on making her new diet and fitness program sustainable.
Jono also revealed his favourite tip that he shares with all of his clients, which is surprisingly simple.
"For reaching your fat loss goals, I'd probably say my favourite tip that I love to give out is: eat to be satisfied, not to be full. And that goes in terms of incorporating enough calories into your diet, because at the end of the day, we eat to be satisfied, we don't eat to be full or bloated," he said.
"Because all that's going to create is that you're going to be tired, it's going to be hard to process, you're not going to absorb all the nutrients. So, I think when you know you're satisfied, stop there and then give it two hours and then eat again. Rather than just eating large meals where you're just going to feel tired."
