Queen 'deeply upset' by Prince Harry's royal family comments

It’s been a rough year for the Queen with the passing of her husband, Prince Philip and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interviews about the royal family making headlines all over the world.

Now, it’s been claimed that the Monarch is ‘deeply upset’ over Prince Harry’s latest comments in his new mental health documentary, The Me You Can’t See, which he created and produced with Oprah Winfrey.

In the documentary, the 36-year-old Duke of Sussex took aim at his father, Prince Charles, whom he previously claimed was trapped in the institution.

"My father used to say to me when I was younger, he used to say to both William and I, 'Well it was like that for me so it’s going to be like that for you,'" Harry said.

"That doesn’t make sense. Just because you suffered doesn’t mean that your kids have to suffer, in fact, quite the opposite - if you suffered, do everything you can to make sure that whatever negative experiences you had, that you can make it right for your kids."

Now, a royal insider claims the Queen has been left upset by her grandson’s comments, telling the Daily Mail: “Harry’s grandmother has taken this very personally and is deeply upset by what Harry has said, in particular his comments about Charles’s parenting and suggesting his father knows no better because of how he was brought up. It has been a very upsetting time.”

Prince Charles is also reportedly hurt by his son’s comments and sources are saying Harry’s relationship with the royals is ‘hanging by a thread’.

“Harry says he wants reconciliation, but has clearly decided to villainise his father. Charles is just at a loss about what to do,” the source told The Sun.

“It’s just so wounding to him (Charles), he’s a sensitive man and these personal attacks hurt deeply. He can’t understand why Harry is doing this to him.”
