Queen cancels further events due to Covid amid claims she's 'already' recovering
The Queen has cancelled more events after testing positive for Covid, Buckingham Palace confirms.
Her Majesty, 95, who is said to have 'mild' symptoms of the virus, was still able to have her meeting with Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday after contracting the virus on Sunday.
She cancelled a video link meeting on Tuesday following the news of her positive test result, with royal sources claiming she was already recovering from the virus.
The Queen spoke with the Prime Minister via video call from Windsor Castle, but has rescheduled two other virtual events that were to be held this week due to the virus.

"She’s already getting over her Covid — it’s amazing to think she’s done it so quickly," the source told The Sun. "That’s why she’s such an inspiration. Positive test on Sunday, meeting with the Prime Minister on Wednesday. Not bad for 95."
A Palace spokesman also shared: "The two virtual audiences that had previously been scheduled to take place today will now be rescheduled for a later date.
"Her Majesty is continuing with light duties. No other engagements are scheduled for this week."
Princess Anne, 71, left Windsor Castle this week after spending two days there, which sources believe is a good sign of the Queen's health.
The Queen has a number of high-profile engagements coming up including the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey on March 14 and then the Duke of Edinburgh's memorial service on March 29.
Her Majesty contracted Covid after spending a few hours with her son Prince Charles on February 8, two days before he tested positive for the virus.
Charles has since recovered, with his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, also testing positive soon after.
When Her Majesty met with incoming and outgoing Defence Service Secretaries on February 16 she was using a walking stick and said she "couldn't move" well, though this was attributed to her simply being a little stiff, rather than being unwell or injured.
It is believed the Queen is being tested for Covid every day, she is also triple vaccinated.
