Halloween 2024 may be over eight weeks away, but Heidi Klum is *already* working on her costume—not that we’d expect anything less from the official reigning queen of spooky szn. (I mean, she may not have a crown, but no A-lister can claim her title.)

Heidi took to Instagram to share a video clip captioned, “#HeidiHalloween is starting to take shape… 👻👻👻,” giving her followers an early look at what we’re assuming is this year’s ensemble.

Previously we’ve seen the German supermodel dress up as a peacock complete with Cirque de Soleil plumage in 2023, a giant and disgusting worm in 2022, a terrifying zombie as part of an elaborate home movie production in 2021—when the Covid-19 pandemic forced her annual Halloween bash to be put on hold—and who can forget her alien scientific experiment in 2019?

With such elaborate costumes, it’s no wonder she needs a lead time of well over two months to ensure she’s ready come October 31st. But despite the teaser, we’re still pretty clueless about what she’s planning on dressing up as.

In the snippet, Heidi appears to be in some sort of an art studio or special effects workshop. Her camera pans over what seems to be a giant mold featuring grid lines and protruding spikes with cotton wool backing. It’s giving primary school paper mache DIY vibes, but on an XL scale.

Heidi sneakily turned the comments off on the post so her followers couldn’t publicly speculate together, but that hasn’t stopped the Cosmo UK team from sharing some thoughts. Suggestions so far include a dinosaur, a slimy turtle, an underwater half-fish half-human (you know, à la The Shape of Water), or a hot cross bun. Though, we won’t hold our breath that any of these guesses is correct.

We’ll be sure to update you as soon as we get any more info on Heidi’s Halloween costume for 2024, so watch this space!
