As Chanel took over Paris for its Women’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2025 runway show, it brought its favorite darlings to sit front row in the house’s most glamorous creations. Among them was France’s chicest mother-daughter duo: Vanessa Paradis and Lily-Rose Depp.
The two looked impossibly cool in contrasting fits by the brand, with the French singer and actress opting for a fun, colorful jacket, as her daughter went for a pristine skirt suit with a twist.
Paradis’ jacket was crafted from plush feathers in pastels blues and pinks. The piece was voluminous up top, but cropped at the bottom, and held together by a transparent black ribbon at the neckline. To continue the party, the “Dès que j’te vois” singer layered the shaggy outerwear over a silver netted top covered in sequins.
Letting the top half of her fit do most of the talking, Paradis went more classic with the rest of her ensemble, slipping into black straight-leg trousers, suede boot heels with rounded toes in shiny leather, dangly diamond earrings, and black shades. Her blonde hair was styled in a messy, wavy ponytail, exuding French-girl cool.
Depp was a different kind of cool—part sultry and mysterious, part timeless Chanel princess. Her ensemble was a tweed skirt suit from the fashion house—this one in black, white, and shimmery, electric pink. And while the set seemed purely traditional at first glance, there was plenty to discover in the details. The top was a boxy, fitted jacket with an ample scoop neckline embellished with black and white gems and a row of black feathers—a sweet nod to coordinate with her mother’s look. The feathers also appeared at the wrists and bottom of the top. And down the center, black circular buttons held the piece together.
The midi skirt, meanwhile, was embellished with large, silver beetle-like brooches all over, giving the orthodox tweed a funky twist. The Nosferatu star wore the set with transparent black tights that peeped out of her silver open-toe sandals with faux pearls at the heels. She accessorized with a single diamond ring and her hair was down in effortless waves.
