In July 2024, Princess Leonor went on her first solo trip as a royal to Portugal. For the occasion, the young royal opted for a fiery-red power suit by Carolina Herrera. The power suit is a favorite fashion statement among several European royals, including Princess Leonor’s mother.
2022
In 2022, Princess Leonor joined members of her family, including mother Queen Letizia, for the Princesa de Girona Foundation 2022 awards. Princess Leonor had her own Cinderella moment, fashioning an off-the-shoulder blue midi dress with taupe slingback heels and her hair in a tight chignon with sparkling drop earrings as her look for the evening.
2019
At nearly 14 years old, Princess Leonor attended the Princesa de Asturias Awards Ceremony in 2019 alongside the Spanish royal family. The teenager fashioned an icy blue dress with three-quarter-length sleeves and embroidered floral detail throughout.
2018
During the National Day Military Parade in 2018, Princess Leonor wore a red dress with hints of yellow as a sartorial homage to Spain. She also wore coordinated red shoes to complement the look.
2014
A very young Princess Leonor was seen wearing a delicate white dress with ornate detailing and a pink ribbon in June 2014 when she attended the official abdication ceremony of King Juan Carlos at the Royal Palace in Madrid. Her father, King Felipe VI, began his reign that same month.
2012
Princess Leonor of Spain wore pieces ideal for a young princess during a visit to see King Juan Carlos of Spain at San Jose Hospital in April 2012. She wore gray shorts and thick tights with coordinated ballet flats and a purple sweater with a small dog embroidered on the fabric for the early spring season.
