“Our followers in Australia can find out the latest information on the bushfires where there is a threat to the community by following the below accounts,” they continued, adding a link to the list that includes fire services from each state and territory, as well as emergency services.
Followers of the list will see updates from those key services, invaluable information for both Australians on the ground and loved ones abroad hoping to keep up to date on the various fires.
Aussies touched
Australian followers of the pair were clearly touched at the sentiment and commented their thanks and gratitude for the support.
“Thank you for caring, it’s terrible,” one woman wrote.
“This Aussie appreciates your assistance!” another shared.
It’s not the first time the couple has shared the message of support to Aussie battling the horrific blazes this summer.
The list was first shared back in November when bushfire season kicked off unusually early, and has been reshared as the fires burn on with little relief.
Within the country, others have also lent their voices to the cause.
On New Year’s Day Lisa Wilkinson urged followers to dig into their pockets for the cause, sharing an exhaustive list of ways followers could financially support communities affected.
