Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Share a Sweet Snap of Kids Archie and Lilibet in Their 2024 Christmas Card
It's Christmas card season! Today, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared their annual holiday card via e-mail.
The e-card features six photos on a dark green background. “On behalf of the office of Prince Harry & Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions, and Archewell Foundation,” the greeting reads, “we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year.”
While most images have been shared previously, featuring snaps of the Sussexes from their travels this year (including to Colombia), one shows Harry and Meghan with their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3:
It's the first new photo of Archie and Lilibet that the Sussexes have shared since their Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries in December 2022. Both children appear to have red hair, taking after their father. The sweet snap also shows three of the Sussex family dogs: their black Labrador, Pula, and their rescue beagles, Guy and Mia.
The Sussexes have been reluctant to share any public photographs of their children due to security concerns. “Our kids are young. They're three and five. They're amazing,” Meghan shared in an interview this summer CBS. “But all you want to do as parents is protect them. And so, as we can see what's happening in the online space, we know that there's a lot of work to be done there, and we're just happy to be able to be a part of change for good.”
The inclusion of Archie and Lilibet on this year's holiday card is a change from the past two years, when the holiday greetings only featured Harry and Meghan. The last Christmas card to include a photo of their children was back in 2021, and the image was the first photo they publicly shared of their daughter.
