Pink fans rally around singer after she cancels show due to family emergency

The singer was forced to postpone two tour dates over 'family medical issues’.

Pink’s legion of fans have rushed to her defence after she was forced to cancel shows on her tour due to a family emergency.

The 44-year-old singer took to her Instagram to announce that she was postponing her October 17th and 18th gigs in Tacoma, Washington, due to ‘family medical issues’.

“I am so sorry to inform the Tacoma ticket holders that the two shows October 17 and October 18 (tomorrow and Wednesday) will be postponed,” the mum-of-two wrote on the social media site.

“Family medical issues require our immediate attention. I send everyone my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. I am sending nothing but love and health to all.”

Fans rallied around the star, who is a mum to 12-year-old Willow and six-year-old Jameson.

“Take care and I hope everything is okay,” one fan wrote.

“If anyone gets mad you for this, they don’t deserve to see you perform. Take care of yourself and that family,” another said.

“I hope everything is ok. Family is the most important thing. Sending lots of love to you and your family,” a third wrote.

Over the weekend, Pink uploaded a number of photos from her time in San Francisco with her husband, Carey Hart, and the couple's two kids.

They all beamed as they took a sourdough pizza-making class together in the city, where she was performing her Trustfall Tour at the Chase Center.

Back in February, Pink revealed during a discussion on Today that both children would be joining her on her tour.

"Willow has a job on tour," Pink said. "We just had to go over minimum wage, and it's different state to state."

"I said it's about $22.50 a show depending how long I go, if I run over. She goes, 'I'll take $20. it's easier to do the math.' I'm like, 'That's not how you negotiate for yourself'.

"I'm like, 'You'll take $25 so it's easier math.'"
