Photographer's bizarre conspiracy theory about Princess Diana's death

It’s been over 20 years since Princess Diana‘s tragic death in 1997, and now one photographer has come forward with a bizarre theory that the story of her death “isn’t necessarily the truth”.

Darryn Lyons, a photographer who was previously head of Big Pictures paparazzi agency, told The Daily Telegraph he has “huge questions” about the Princess of Wales‘ death.

Bizarre theory about Diana’s death

“Everyone says it was a tragic accident… some very strange things happened that night and I was a part of many of the strange things that happened that night,” he admitted.

The former paparazzo also weighed in on Diana’s sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. He believes the royal brothers don’t know the truth.

“I don’t think we’ll ever get to the bottom of the truth of the story,” he said. “I don’t even think her sons know… they would have been told the story but it isn’t necessarily the truth.”

However, the 53-year-old admitted he has “no proof that the Princess of Wales was murdered”.

Lyons’ agency received images of the late Diana in her final moments. He still has these photos which have never been published and has previously insisted he would never sell them.

In his 2008 autobiography, Mr Paparazzi, Lyons described one striking image he has of Diana looking “like an angel, serene with a smile on her face and only a small cut on her forehead”.

Prince Harry’s ‘disgust’

Last year, in a documentary to mark the 20th anniversary of his mother’s death, Prince Harry spoke about his disgust at the people who chased her into the tunnel snapping images of Diana as she lay dying in the car, claiming it is one of the “hardest things to come to terms with”.

“She’d had quite a severe head injury but she was very much still alive on the back seat,” he said in the BBC doco.

“And those people that caused the accident, instead of helping, were taking photographs of her dying on the back seat.”
