"She Disgusts Me" — Here Are 19 Celebrities People Have Totally Changed Their Opinions Of
Recently, I decided to ask members of the BuzzFeed Community to share what celebrity they've abruptly changed their opinion on, and why. Here are some of their most interesting answers:
."Chris Pratt. I LOVED him as Andy in Parks and Rec and thought he was a cool dude in general. Then he got hot, opened up his mouth, and now I cringe anytime I see him on screen."
."I used to really dislike Zendaya. I felt like she had 'I'm better than you' vibes, especially when she was still on Disney."
."Meghan Trainor. I thought her music was catchy but had no substance, and still do. But her personality, stage presence, and how cute she is with her husband and kids make me love her!"
."Paris Hilton. I'm in my 30s, and growing up, I always thought she was this incredibly entitled brat who always got her way and treated other people like crap. "
."I liked that Beyoncé's album Renaissance was influenced by and an homage to her gay uncle, and that the LGBTQ community liked it so much because they felt represented."
."At first, Taika Waititi was great for Indigenous representation. But then he left his wife and kids for Hollywood."
."I never really listened to Nicki Minaj, but I liked that she was very encouraging of her fans to stay in school and talked about body positivity and feminism. Then she started dating a convicted rapist and began harassing his victim."
."Taylor Swift. Finding out about how privileged she was and pretending to appear poor to make even more money? She disgusts me."
."I used to be so blasé about Emma Stone. I thought that any young white actress could be cast in her big roles — The Help, La La Land, etc. I thought that her first Oscar was undeserved and a product of being the most recent 'it-girl.'"

"I used to think that I could see the edges of her acting and was over-validated.
Then I saw her in Poor Things and realized that what I had previously perceived as her limitations were imposed on her by the Hollywood star system. She is a true artist... and I respect that."
."Years ago, I read a story about Kobe and his wife, Vanessa Bryant. For years, I always thought she was nothing more than a gold digger who was after his money, especially after seeing a picture of them together after he won the finals."
."I hate to admit that I had a crush on Danny Masterson when he was on That '70s Show. Now I am sickened that while I was fantasizing about him, he was a rapist."
."I used to like Rihanna's attitude and that she was inclusive in her make-up and underwear brands. Then I found out her underwear is made by employees who are treated horribly, and the quality is very bad."
."I genuinely used to think Swifties were the SILLIEST fans. I did not get the hype one bit. THEN, I watched the Reputation concert movie maybe five or six years ago and realized how talented Taylor was, and have been a fan ever since."
."I’ve never cared for Will Ferrell. I don’t think he’s particularly funny. Two things, however, have made me appreciate him more."
."Anna Kendrick. I've always thought of her as the Pitch Perfect girl, but Woman of the Hour was incredible. Then it brought me down a rabbit hole of her advocacy work and past with abusive relationships. I thought she was fine before, but now I'm really impressed by her."
."Jake Gyllenhaal. I worked with him on Roadhouse and he’s a complete nightmare person. I love his work — have to train myself to separate the art from the artist."
."Penn Badgley! I never was a fan of his and couldn't care less about him before, nor was I ever interested in watching any of his work. I couldn't understand the hype around his series YOU and personally never found him attractive."
."Emeril Lagasse. As a trained chef, I couldn’t stand how he’d stick his fingers in sauces to try them… but after all the humanitarian aid he provided for victims of Hurricane Katrina, I could only smile in admiration."
."I used to be a Sabrina Carpenter hater. I think I only saw her as the girl from Girl Meets World, and not the pop icon she is. Just saw her in concert in Minneapolis, and I'm a proud fan now!"
