Parker McCollum Gives Health Update After Walking Off Stage Mid-Concert

Get well soon, Parker McCollum! The country music singer has been "violently" ill, and his sickness forced him to cancel a concert mid-show.

Parker just kicked off his "What Kind of Man" tour, which has dates into August. In videos from fans shared on social media, Parker is seen apologizing to a crowd in Pennsylvania as he calls the show, saying he's too sick to continue. He promises to refund everyone's money.

A few days later, Parker took to Tik Tok to give his fans an update on what happened during his show in State College, Pennsylvania, on January 25. In the three-minute-long video, he says, "Long story short, I was in the meet-and-greet before the show, I had about two people left. Out of nowhere, I felt it in my stomach, bam, I said 'I'm about to be very, very sick.' I knew that something was pretty wrong and spent about an hour sitting with my head in my lap."

Still, the "Burn It Down" singer tried to power through. He explains, "Showtime rolled around, and I decided to try to give it a go. Got out there, felt okay the first couple of songs. The more I was singing and pushing, it became apparent—and I'm sure you could tell in the crowd—that I was not doing well up there. I've never had to walk offstage in the middle of a show in all the years I've been doing this. It was absolutely the worst things ever to have to end a show like that, especially so early in the night."

Parker takes time to thank his fans for their understanding. He says, "I was as violently sick as I've ever been in my entire life and spent the next 48 hours basically in the fetal position. Feeling a little better now. Thinking we'll be good to go this weekend in Rhode Island."

He continues, "It was incredibly tough for me, and I just hated to disappoint you guys."

Parker's "What Kind of Man" tour is scheduled to resume this weekend with shows scheduled in Rhode Island, Maine, and Massachusetts. We're hoping he's made a full recovery!
