Yahoo Lifestyle After Describing Him As The Love Of Her Life, Pamela Anderson Gave An Update On Her Relationship With Her Ex-Husband Tommy Lee
Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee are one of the most iconic celebrity couples of, well, all time.
They famously married on the beach in Mexico in 1995, only a few days after they began dating. And throughout the ‘90s, they flaunted their romance with plenty of public PDA and stunned on red carpets.
They also share two children, Brandon and Dylan, who were born in 1996 and 1997.
However, as the iconic pictures and fashion moments have been lauded over the years, it’s easy to forget that the couple’s relationship was plagued by trauma and controversy — so much so that it inspired a Hulu limited series, Pam & Tommy, in 2022.
It's worth noting that this series was made without Pamela's approval or involvement. Following its release, she criticized the "assholes" behind it and described the entire show as "salt on the wound" of her pain and exploitation.
As I’m sure you know, in 1995, Pamela and Tommy were the victims of a crime when their sex tape was stolen from a locked safe in their home and subsequently distributed online in 1997.
Pamela has talked at length about how the sex tape saga damaged her emotionally, and only in more recent years has she been able to reclaim her image after the scandal tarnished her career and reputation.
Tommy, on the other hand, did not face the same public retribution. In fact, the distribution of their tape elevated him to sex symbol status, exemplifying the misogynistic double standards at the core of the scandal. But that’s a different story.
Pamela filed to divorce Tommy in 1998, hours after he was charged with felony spousal abuse following an incident where he physically assaulted her while she was holding onto Dylan, who was a baby at the time. Months later, he was sentenced to six months in prison.
Although, this certainly wasn’t the end of their story as the exes got back together numerous times between 1999 and 2008 before parting ways for good in 2010. And since then, it sounds like their relationship has been pretty turbulent.
Speaking to Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show this week, Pamela said she and Tommy are not on the best of terms right now, confessing: “We used to talk a lot more.”
Notably, the Last Showgirl star made it clear that she finds the current rift between them quite unfortunate and hopes to rebuild their friendship — particularly now that their son Dylan looks set to tie the knot to his longtime partner, Paula Bruss.
“I wish we did have a better rapport right now,” she said. “My youngest son is engaged, and we're gonna have grandkids together. It'll be okay eventually. It's just kind of a moment right now.”
Despite all they’ve been through, Pamela — who went on to marry five more times, but is currently single — has made no secret of the affection she feels for Tommy, having previously described him to People as “the love of [her] life.”
Since 2019, Tommy has been married to Brittany Furlan. And in Pamela’s 2023 documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, the Baywatch icon confessed that Tommy is the only person she’s ever truly loved.

“I think I’d rather be alone than not be with the father of my kids,” she said, following the end of her most recent divorce from Dan Hayhurst in early 2022. “I think it’s impossible to be with anybody else, but I don’t think I could be with Tommy either. It’s almost like a punishment.”
