Paige DeSorbo Defends Wearing a transparent Dress to Her Friend’s Wedding After Backlash

There are a few unspoken rules when attending a wedding: Don’t wear white, don’t get drunk and give an impromptu speech (or do, whatever), and don’t wear an entirely see-through outfit. But rules are made to be broken, which brings us to the transparent lace dress Paige DeSorbo wore to her friend’s wedding in Saint-Tropez.

Apparently, this dress got some backlash on social media from people who don’t have taste (I said what I said!), but Paige has no regrets. Speaking on The Lady Gang podcast, the Summer House star said, “I could defend it all day long. First and foremost, I was in Saint-Tropez. I wasn’t at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. So it was a very different type of wedding.”

“It was not a typical wedding,” she added. “And the couple that got married, my girlfriend Alexa and her now-husband Wilton, easily one of the most stylish couples I’ve ever been around. They just look good. They look like a model couple.” In other words, they wanted their guests to bring it.

On top of that, Paige says she was “maybe 1 of 15 girls that was in transparent dresses, also because that’s like trendy.” AND she showed the dress to her friends for approval before wearing it.

“So I sent it to all of my girlfriends who were also going to the wedding and were sending all of our dresses in a group chat and not a single person batted an eye,” she explained. “One of the other girls was in a completely transparent and then it had like green sparkles on it so I was like, ‘Oh we’re like so good.’”

Paige went on to joke that she judged a fellow wedding guest for wearing pale yellow veering on white: “I looked at her up and down and I was like you should be ashamed of yourself. Never did I think people were going to be doing the exact same thing to me!”
