Married At First Sight’s Cyrell Jimenez Paule and Nic Jovanovic have had lots of ups and downs throughout their relationship, and let’s not remember the drama first began back at their wedding when overprotective Ivan disapproved of his sister’s husband.

Cyrell’s brother was back at it again in tonight’s episode, and what’s more, claimed it’s “my way or the high way” and tried ending the pair’s marriage, without his sister having any say in it.

“Both of you are obviously not compatible for one another,” Ivan told Nic during the homestay at the Paule residence.

“She’s a fighter, she’s willing to take it as far as she can to pretty much make someone else happy, but you’re just not that right person for her,” he continued.

A very patient Nic kept listening as Ivan unapologetically spoke his mind.

“She’s my precious, my baby sister. Last thing I want to see is her getting hurt again. My sister doesn’t deserve this.

“Stay the f*** away from her. I don’t want you to have nothing to do with my sister.”

Then came the following sentence: “Grab you s**t and pretty much just f*** off”.

Wow. Let’s remember Cyrell was nowhere to be seen at this point. Ivan had pulled Nic aside for a private chat, which apparently gave him authority to end a marriage he’s not actually part of.

“He’ll be packing his bag and going home. Plain and simple,” Ivan then told producers in a piece-to-camera.

“I’m not going to repeat myself. It’s my way or the high way and she’s definitely going to have to agree to it,” he continued, addressing Cyrell’s lack of knowledge of what had just gone down.

Meanwhile an absolutely stunned Nic wasn’t going to give Ivan any brownie points for giving him an out.

“The way Ivan spoke to me then, I think it’s disrespectful,” he said.

“It’s just full on. I don’t want to be around that. Ivan hasn’t been there from the start. He doesn’t know what we’ve been going through.

“Cyrell and I have been in a really good place for the last week and a half and I don’t know if it’s Ivan’s decision.

“If she wants to stand up for me, defend me, then that’s fine. If not, I’m just going to have to pack my bags and get out of here.”

During the commitment ceremony the week before last, Nic had written ‘leave’ after the pair’s continuous fighting and the infamous violent showdown between Cyrell and Martha.

However the couple’s relationship seems to have improved in the past week up, until Ivan’s involvement.

Will this setback be the final straw in their marriage? Find out when Married At First Sight continues at 7:30pm on Channel Nine.
