During conversation moderated by Rolling Stone writer Tomás Mier, Peck was asked by an audience member if he was interested in combining his acting background and music success on Broadway.
“It’s crossed my mind,” he said to applause. “Recently, it’s got interesting.”
A source tells me that the project is in the “very early stages of development.”

Peck – who’s real name is Daniel Pitout – trained as a ballet dancer while growing up in South Africa. Before launching a music career as a drummer in punk rock bands, he studied acting in London. He performed in a 2016 West End production of “Peter Pan Goes Wrong” at the Apollo Theatre as well as national tours of musicals.
Peck eventually turned to country music, inspired by an “obsession with cowboys” and his grandfather, a horseback sheriff in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province, he told Variety in 2022.
Peck’s latest and third full-length album, “Stampede,” features collaborations on original songs and covers with Kyle Minogue, Willie Nelson, Elton John, Mickey Guyton, Diplo, Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway.
Peck is currently on tour after announcing in June 2023 he was taking a break to focus on his mental and physical health. “Being on stage is my favourite thing in the world,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “But I have to take this time to replenish my mind and body so that I can come back stronger and healthier than before, in order to do what I love for many years to come. I truly hope you can understand.”
He explained during his Grammy Museum appearance that he now makes sure to rest and recharge by taking two weeks off after every two weeks of touring to spend time at home in Los Angeles with his dog and boyfriend.
