We pretty much declared 2024 the year of the Oreo, thanks to all its launches and collaborations. However, we have to admit that Oreo is off to a pretty great start in 2025, too.

Earlier this year, the beloved cookie brand practically broke the internet with the release of its Post Malone Oreos that featured a first-of-its-kind swirl of salted caramel- and shortbread-flavored cremes.

After the hullabaloo of the collab with the singer, Oreo is opting for a tamer launch this month by going back to the basics. In the coming weeks, you’ll see two new Oreo cookie flavors on shelves—one of which the brand is adding to its permanent lineup.

Oreo Is Releasing 2 All-New Cookie Flavors

Beginning Feb. 24, Oreo will give its new Double Chocolate Cakesters a standing spot in its collection. Then, beginning March 3, the brand will roll out a new Golden Birthday Cake flavor for a limited time.

In 2022, Oreo brought its nostalgic Cakesters—which are two soft-baked cookies sandwiched with Oreo creme—back from the snack aisle grave. Since then, it’s been slowly introducing classic Oreo flavors to the permanent Cakesters lineup, including Peanut Butter Cakesters in 2024 and Golden Cakesters in early 2025.

Now, Oreo is doubling down on chocolate with its new Oreo Double Chocolate Cakesters, which feature the same soft-baked chocolate cookies filled with chocolate creme. The new extra-chocolatey Cakesters will be sold in a box with five packs of two cookies.

Then, in March, Oreo will debut its Golden Birthday Cake flavor, which turns the fan-favorite Oreo Birthday Cake chocolate cookies into a vanilla offering for the first time. The new Golden flavor sandwiches a birthday cake-flavored creme with rainbow sprinkles between two Golden Oreo cookies. As with most Oreo Golden flavors, Golden Birthday Cake will only be available for a limited time while supplies last.

With the new Double Chocolate Cakesters hitting shelves, now all we need are Double Stuffed and Mint versions to complete the Oreo Cakesters collection. And, might we suggest some Golden Peanut Butter Oreos, too, since we’re slowly starting to get fan-favorite chocolate Oreo flavors as Golden ones?

No matter what’s up next from Oreo, you can bet we’ll be rushing to the store to try the latest flavor of milk’s—and our—favorite cookie.
