Oreo Just Launched a First-Of-Its-Kind Cookie at Subway
It's one you have to see to believe.
This month, Oreo has been packing grocery shelves with new treats to keep our cookies-and-creme cravings at an all-time high. From never-before-seen caramel and shortbread swirl cookies to limited-edition Pillsbury cookie doughs and perfectly poppable Frozen Oreo Bites, the brand is determined to bring its iconic flavor to every corner of the snack market.
And it isn’t stopping at the grocery store. Today, Oreo is going even bigger—literally—launching a first-of-its-kind cookie that has all the familiar flavor of the beloved brand with the wow factor of another fan-favorite food: the Subway Footlong.
Subway Launches Brand New Oreo Footlong Cookie
Subway is elevating its dessert game with an exciting new collaboration. Introducing the Oreo Footlong Cookie: a warm, 12-inch cookies-and-creme indulgence that’s as decadent as it is massive.
As you probably know, this isn't Subway’s first foray into foot-long desserts. Their oversized cookies debuted as part of the "Subway Sidekicks" line in 2023 and were such a massive hit that locations struggled to keep up with demand. After bringing the classic Chocolate Chip Footlong Cookie back (and even releasing a festive Double Chocolate Peppermint version for the holidays), Subway is stepping up its dessert game with the ultimate cookie collaboration.
If Subway’s previous footlong cookies were a success, this Oreo version is about to be legendary.
The Oreo Footlong Cookie starts with Subway’s own chocolate cookie dough, mixed with Oreo cookie pieces, topped with sweet vanilla creme, and finished with an extra sprinkle of Oreo bits. Freshly baked and served warm, it looks like just the decadent treat you’d want to sink your teeth into after a savory meal.
“Subway worked closely with the Oreo cookie experts to create something that fans of both brands are going to love—the ideal blend of our popular double chocolate cookie with the delicious crunch of their signature cookie and creme filling,” said Paul Fabre, Senior Vice President of Culinary and Innovation at Subway. “Oreo cookies capture our passion for quality ingredients and maximum flavor, making them the ideal partner for Subway’s first Footlong Cookie collaboration.”
We can’t say for sure if it’s dunkable, but early reviews have confirmed it’s downright delicious. Commenters say it's “perfectly warm” and “rich,” with a creme filling reminiscent of “gooey marshmallow fluff.” One reviewer said the chocolate cookie’s texture tasted almost like a brownie, while the Oreo bits throughout “added to the decadence.”
“I’m probably going to eat more of these than any customer,” one Reddit user confessed.
Starting Jan. 30, the Oreo Footlong Cookie will be available for a limited time at Subway locations nationwide. And, in a nod to the brand’s classic $5 footlong deal, the super-sized treat will only set you back $5—a steal when you consider it’s basically four cookies in one.
The footlong craze at Subway shows no signs of slowing down—in fact, we’d bet this is just the beginning of a year filled with 12-inch treats. Footlong Doritos Nachos? The rumor mill is already churning, and honestly, we’re hungry just thinking about it.
