Following their 10 day stint in the Love Island All Stars villa, Olivia Hawkins has revealed she and Marcel Somerville are no longer seeing each other romantically.
Speaking to People, Olivia said the couple have decided they are better off as friends but insists there is no bad blood between them.
"We did really get on in the villa," she said. "But [we] didn't have enough time together in there before we got thrown out into the limelight."
She added the pair are still in communication, saying: "We still speak every day, but I think we've just agreed that it's more of a friendship."
Olivia and Marcel were the first couple to be dumped from the Island on season two of Love Island All Stars. The pair both entered the Villa on day one, but were initially coupled up with different people due to the public vote.
Olivia was partnered with Luca Bish and the public voted for Marcel to get together with his season three ex Gabby Dawn Allen. However, neither pair found a romantic connection and so Olivia and Marcel got to know each other. Unfortunately, on day 10 the couple were voted least compatible by the public and they were therefore dumped from the Island.
Olivia admitted to People she was surprised the pair weren't seen as compatible by viewers and believed that they were the strongest couple next to Curtis Pritchard and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
"At that point in time in the villa, if anyone had voted for the top two most compatible couples, it would've been me and Marcel and Ekin-Su and Curtis," she said. "So that's why the Islanders were all so shocked [by our dumping]. It was a shame, but I feel like all the chaos and the drama happened as soon as we left, so I'm kind of glad I avoided that this time."
So far Marcel hasn't commented on the pair's relationship status, but they both seem to be in good spirits since leaving the villa, and have appeared in a number of interviews together.
