'Octomom' Nadya Suleman Welcomes 'Beautiful' New Addition to Her Family
"Octomom" Nadya Suleman's family is expanding once again.
The 49-year-old media personality—who gave birth to the first surviving octuplets in history in 2009—took to Instagram on Sunday, Sept. 22 to announce that one of her sons is now the father of a baby girl, making her a grandmother for the first time.
"Thank you my son and my lovely daughter in law for giving us this beautiful gift!" Suleman captioned a photo of a baby's foot poking out from behind a pink blanket.
"We are so blessed that she is a new addition to our family! Baby girl you are so very loved and we can’t wait to watch you grow!! 8/30/24 🙏🏽❤️."
Fans were quick to send Suleman their best wishes in the comments.
"Congratulations! I hope you enjoy being a Grandma. ❤️😍," wrote one person.
"Congratulations💖 love pictures of a little feet. I just became a first time grandma and boy is it amazing👶🏻," gushed a second Instagram user.
"Congratulations 🎊 May God bless you and your family with Love and Happiness 😊," commented a third fan.
While it's not clear which one of Suleman's sons is the father of her new granddaughter, she called her son Joshua a "soon to be father" in an Aug. 21 Instagram post celebrating his 21st birthday and featuring childhood photos.
"I am so proud of the man you are becoming. You are smart, funny, hard working, loyal, humble, and now a devoted husband and soon to be father," she wrote in part.
Suleman was already a mom to six children (Amerah, Calyssa, Elijah, Caleb, Joshua and Aidan) when she gave birth to octuplets Noah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Josiah, Makai, Maliyah and Nariyah 15 years ago.
