‘Daily Show’ Hits Trump’s Latest Grievance-Filled Claim With Devastating Reminder
“Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic fired back at Donald Trump after he complained this week that American women are poor, unhealthy, unsafe, stressed, depressed and unhealthy.
“I love how he’s acknowledging that we’re stressed out as though he’s not the one stressing us out,” Lydic said. “This is like Boeing being like, ‘weird how people seem so freaked out about air travel these days.’”
She also pointed out that Trump’s bleak description of American women doesn’t apply in at least one case.
“It’s not true that all women are poorer,” Lydic said. “E. Jean Carroll seems to be doing pretty well.”
A jury last year found Trump sexually abused Carroll and awarded her $5 million in damages, while a second jury earlier this year found Trump had defamed Carroll and awarded her $83.3 million.
Trump is appealing.
