Nicole Kidman fans roast her over 'terrible' detail: 'Trying to destroy her'

Nicole Kidman has been roasted on social media over one huge detail in several of her projects. Fans of the Aussie star have had a love-hate relationship with her wigs in several projects, including her recent Netflix hit The Perfect Couple, and other projects like Nine Perfect Strangers, The Undoing and A Family Affair.

Fans have made fun of the topic for years, with one user writing on X, "A Nicole Kidman wig is less about quality or realism. More about the way in which it consumes & alters her spirit."

"The Perfect Couple is so stupid but I loved it mainly because Nicole Kidman has this wig," another said, sharing screen grabs from the series.

"Another Nicole Kidman drama, another wig that’s actively trying to destroy her!" a third said of her wig in Bombshell.

"The funniest part about this terrible wig is that Nicole Kidman has blonde hair anyway," a fourth said of Nicole's hair in The Perfect Couple.

"You already know that Nicole Kidman is about to slay when she's wearing a wig," someone else said.

"Nicole Kidman loves wigs more than Keith Urban loves his hair straighter," another joked.

"One thing about Nicole Kidman is that she’s going to eat a role with a bad wig," yet another said.

"Not to be a hater but why does Nicole Kidman have the worst wig ever made in The Perfect Couple? And what’s with those brows? And that accent?" one user said, roasting the star.

"Is Nicole Kidman's wig purposefully terrible in The Perfect Couple?" someone else questioned.

"Nicole Kidman won’t stop until she’s worn every wig in Hollywood," one person said.

Nicole's Big Little Lies co-star Darby Camp, who plays Reese Witherspoon's daughter on the show, has previously spoken to Vulture about Nicole's wig in the series.

"Working with Nicole Kidman was really fun," she said. "She was very loving and nice. One time she let all the kids get on her lap and she wore a wig in the show and she’s like, 'Oh, guys, do you want to play with my wig or something?' So we were all testing her wig and playing with it. My mom’s just like, 'Put down the Nicole Kidman. Don’t touch the Nicole Kidman.'"

Nicole, however, doesn't appear too keen on discussing the wigs and has previously hung up on The Kyle and Jackie O Show in 2019 after the hosts asked her about her "favourite wig".

"I think there’s a podcast dedicated to all the wigs you wear in films, and I think a guy asked you about this at a press conference, did he? He said something like, 'What’s your favourite wig you’ve ever worn in your films?'" Jackie 'O' Henderson asked the actress. "Anyway, they do this podcast and literally the podcast is all about your wigs. It did make me wonder: what is your favourite wig? Because for me, it is the Celeste [Big Little Lies] wig. It’s such an amazing wig."

"Well, I’m using my own hair now, so I think that’s probably my favourite, my own hair," a frustrated Nicole said. "There’s many times when I use my own hair as well, because it’s so easy, and other times creating different characters. It’s like asking about the best character, it’s like asking if you have a favourite child? Can’t answer that one! Anyway, I’ve got to go, because they’re waiting at the other radio station, which I better not say on your show."

At the Toronto Film Festival in 2018, Nicole was asked about her wigs during a press conference, with the actress hitting back, "That’s an awful question. I am shutting that question down."
