If you’re a fan of TikTok, you’ve likely been seeing a few of their products pop up on your ‘For You’ page.
Recent viral beauty TikToks have featured the Marshmallow Primer, the XXL Lingerie lipstick or the Matte Setting Spray, to name just a few.
The current cult favourite gloss that has been dominating our feeds has been the NYX Professional Butter Gloss.
TikTokers give rave reviews
TikTok beauty influencer @itsleekleek featured the NYX Butter Gloss as part of her ‘Affordable Lip Combo’ video series, pairing the ‘Caramel’ shade with the NYX Espresso lipliner.
The result is a brown, glossy, 90s-inspired lip that complements Leek’s natural makeup look perfectly.
The video has racked up over 950 thousand views, 134 thousand likes and 500 comments.
“I’ve been looking for a combo like this for so long, thank you!” Commented one watcher.
“Gorgeous,” read another comment, as well as “stunning” from someone else.
Another TikToker, @hannahcho, made a video about the NYX Butter Gloss’s being her “best cheapest lipglosses I’ve ever owned, and I have a lot of lip products.”
In the video, she applies the gloss and comments that it’s “so shiny and smells…really sweet”.
One of her comments agreed with the sweet scent sentiment, saying “it smells like vanilla and like baked deserts? I don’t know how to explain…but it smells AMAZING”.
Butter Glosses were also featured on users’ @lauraxbui’s channel.
Laura has a popular video series where she buys and reviews products that ‘TikTok made her buy’.
For the gloss, her rating was ‘10/10. Buttery soft on the lips and doesn’t feel sticky’.
On the screen, she shows the glossy swatches of the shades Fortune cookie, Madeleine, Praline and Red Velvet on her hand.
