Nine shocks with major 2024 announcements: What you need to know

Here's what to expect on Channel Nine in 2024.

Nine held their annual Upfront event on Wednesday evening where they announced the new and returning shows viewers can expect at the end of 2023 and the start of 2024.

What you need to know

  • Surprise return: Tracy Grimshaw will return to the network for a yet-to-be-announced project

  • Game shows: English actor and comedian Stephen Fry will host Jeopardy! Australia, while former tennis player Todd Woodbridge will front a local version of the global phenomenon Tipping Point

  • Property porn: Three new property-related shows have been unveiled for 2024, including Listing Melbourne, Budget Battlers hosted by The Block’s Jess Eva and Norm Hogan, and gardening makeover program The Garden Hustle hosted by actress Lisa McCune and The Block’s Dave Franklin

  • Drama: Crime thriller Blood On The Tracks – the Platform Killer and drama series Human Error, inspired by actual events, will have viewers on the edge of their seats

  • Renewed for 2024: Married At First Sight, The Block, Lego Masters Australia, The Hundred, The Summit, Parental Guidance and Travel Guides will all return

  • Still to come in 2023: Fans can look forward to watching Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, Your Mum My Dad, Love Island Australia, Australia’s Most Identical, The Hundred with Andy Lee: Christmas and Christmas with Delta later this year

The upcoming seventh season of Travel Guides will feature brand new travellers and best friends Karly Fisher and Bri Auty, who met while filming Beauty and the Geek in 2022. Karly won the show with her geek Aaron Seeto, while Bri and her partner Christopher Mattiske were the runner-ups.

New season of The Block: The Block hits an incredible milestone in 2024, heading into a huge 20th season. There are big plans for this special season with high anticipation for next year’s location. Plus, host Scott Cam will be back for his 18th season to guide the five keen teams along the way.

New season of LEGO Masters: “In our Olympic year, it’s ‘Australia vs The Rest Of the World’ at LEGO Masters with four brand new Australian teams taking on the four best LEGO teams who have previously competed in their homelands.”
