Who Is Nikki Glaser's Boyfriend, Chris Convy?

Chris Convy is a good sport.

The television and radio producer and longtime boyfriend of comedian Nikki Glaser has recently come into the spotlight thanks to his leading lady, who, after being immersed in the world of comedy for more than a decade, is finally getting the recognition she deserves.

Ahead, everything we know about Convy.

He really is a good sport

Many of us first heard about Convy at The Roast of Tom Brady in 2024—which was more like the rise of Nikki Glaser, as it launched her into the mega spotlight. In her roast to the NFL GOAT, Glaser made a joke about Convy.

“I just want to say for the record, I do have a boyfriend, we’ve been together for 10 years, he’s the love of my life, he’s here tonight, he’s sitting right over there,” Glaser said, pointing to Convy in the audience. “And I want to say publicly, I would shoot you [gesturing toward Convy] in the fu***ng face for a lottery ticket to suck this guy’s d**k,” she joked, pointing toward Brady.

We didn’t see Convy’s reaction, but we’re assuming he took it well, as he and Glaser are still very much together.

Here they are at the 2025 Golden Globes, where Glaser made history as the first female comedian to host the ceremony:

He's a TV producer.

Convy is a big-time producer who has worked on awards shows and specials including The Little Mermaid Live (2019), 2020’s Dave Chappelle, The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor (2020), and Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration (2022). He has also produced on several of Glaser’s shows and comedy specials–that’s actually how the two met.

“It was my first TV show and he was a producer on the show and he was from St. Louis, where I was from,” Glaser said during a 2022 appearance on In Depth With Graham Bensinger, speaking of her 2013 MTV series Nikki & Sara Live, produced by Convy.

He also produced Glaser’s 2016 talk show Not Safe With Nikki Glaser on Comedy Central—though it only lasted for one season—and her most recent HBO special, Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die.

Currently, he works on both radio and TV projects, mostly in Los Angeles and New York City.

He's sober, like she is

Glaser said on In Depth With Graham Bensinger that when she first met Convy, she thought he was way “too fun” to date.

“I just quit drinking, like, a year before that and I didn’t want to have any relationships with people who were heavy drinkers,” she said.

“It was, like, a party that we all met each other at,” she added, recalling their meeting. “He was dancing and he was just, like, too fun and smiley. I was like, ‘That guy’s wasted because how could you be that way?’ So, I just wrote him off, like, ‘No not for me.’”

But soon enough, she found out he was sober, just like her, and she developed a “crush.”

“I just had a crush from afar for a really long time, which was so fun because I was just, like, pining for him constantly,” she said. “It was very Jim and Pam [from The Office.] I was Jim and he had no idea. He was my first real boyfriend.”

They've broken up a lot

According to Glaser, she and Convy have broken up “probably five times in 10 years.”

“I think the off-and-on is [because] I’m just terrified of committing to anything forever,” she said during a 2024 appearance on the Howard Stern Show. “I think committing to something forever makes me think of no other adventures. It’s just, kind of, admitting defeat. It’s settling.”

“Our breaks have gone from maybe two days to one was three years long,” she recalled. “He’s broken up with me. In the beginning of our relationship, I think I wanted a boyfriend so badly, I really misrepresented who I was. I thought getting a boyfriend meant being agreeable and just doing everything, never fighting [and] never saying, ‘I don’t like what you just said,’ because then he’d be like, ‘Well, that’s the way I am, bye.’”

She added that he once broke up with her over some things he said on a podcast.

“Not because I thought he won’t hear them, but they would just come out naturally under the guise of ‘it’s comedy!’” she said. “He eventually heard them and goes, ‘I don’t recognize who this person is.’ … He had every reason to break up with me because it was jarring to him because I was just lying all the time. He really got me to stop lying, I’m better at it. I’m not perfect at it because I still fear abandonment, so there’s some issues in our relationship where I fear he’s going to be mad at me.”

The pandemic brought them closer

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, Glaser moved back to her native St. Louis—where Convy is also from—and sold her docuseries Welcome Home Nikki Glaser to the E! network. She had pitched it as a dating show, as in she would date someone on camera, but at the same time, she began seeing Convy again. “I kinda [wanted] to date someone who will be on camera with me,” she said on In Depth With Graham Bensinger.

She said that she told Convy, “‘I’ll keep seeing you in private, but I have to date on the show unless you want to be on camera,’ and he was like, ‘I’ll do it.’”

Convy’s willingness to publicize their relationship was a “turning point” for Glaser, and for them, she said. It made her realize, “He wants to, like, share a thing together, so it was just all these things,” she said. “Then I started doing things that were hard for me to do, like, making time for him.”

They're solid right now

During a chat on on the Club Random with Bill Maher podcast late last year, the comedian admitted that she and Convy went through a rough patch not too long ago (following the roast of Brady), and she even told him she was “bored in this relationship.” At that, he asked her to self-reflect, and she had an epiphany.

“I had a breakthrough recently with him where we were kind of maybe going to go our separate ways … and then I just stopped,” Glaser said.

“It’s so basic, but I just realized, like, no one I’m fantasizing about maybe replacing him with … no one’s going to be perfect,” she continued. “He doesn’t need to be perfect for me. It was really just about acceptance, and we’ve just been so good ever since.”

She described Convy as “a great person” and said they are “so in love.”

“We’re just trying to be partners and figure it out,” she added.
