“The Night Agent” stars Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan break down what to remember from season 1

Before diving into season 2, let the cast remind you what happened in season 1.

It's time to return to the high-stakes world of The Night Agent!

But before pressing play on season 2 of Netflix's hit spy thriller, let returning stars Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan and new cast members Amanda Warren and Arienne Mandi remind you of season 1's biggest plot points.

In Entertainment Weekly's latest Previously On video (above), the four actors take viewers back to our introduction of Peter Sutherland, Basso's low-level FBI agent working in the White House basement, manning a mysterious phone that never rings... until one night, it does.

The caller is Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan), a tech whiz living with her aunt and uncle, who, unbeknownst to her, were undercover agents under the U.S. government's secret Night Action program.

Peter and Rose are then tossed into a world of conspiracy involving White House officials, a metro bombing, assassins, the vice president's daughter, and Peter's own father — who, according to official record, was a traitor to his country.

The season culminates in an attack on President Travers (Kari Matchett) at Camp David. Peter's rescue of the president earns him a promotion to full-fledged Night Agent. The second season will pick up with Peter in his rookie role, and a whole new conspiracy to untangle.
