Nielsen Streaming Top 10: ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Debuts With Nearly 2.6 Billion Minutes Watched, Doubling ‘One Piece’s’ U.S. Debut
appearance on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings, clocking in with just under 2.6 billion minutes watched in its first four days of availability.
That’s nearly double the debut seen by Netflix’s most recent comparable series: “One Piece,” the live-action adaptation of the popular manga of the same name that hit 1.3 billion viewing minutes in its first four days.

Interestingly, when Netflix released its proprietary data regarding “Avatar” last month, it was only 15% ahead of “One Piece’s” debut. However, the Netflix Top 10 measures worldwide viewership on all devices, whereas Nielsen only accounts for TV screens in the U.S. Therefore, “Avatar’s” Nielsen performance implies that the series was more successful in stateside than in other countries.
After returning to the chart last week thanks to its Season 6 debut, “Love Is Blind” took second place with 2.4 billion minutes watched from Feb. 19 to Feb. 25. Nielsen notes that this is the first time since November 2022 that two titles have crossed the two billion minute-mark in the same week.
Frequent chart-topper “Bluey” was the third most-watched title of the week. The animated children’s series was watched for just under 1.1 billion minutes during this viewing window.
“Warrior” made its chart debut in fourth place. The three-season series was canceled by Max in December but was recently added to Netflix, where it has seen new popularity, racking up 948 million minutes watched across both services.
The rest of the chart was taken up by acquired titles: “Young Sheldon” (936 million minutes), “Grey’s Anatomy” (901 million), “True Detective” (889 million), “NCIS” (737 million), “Monk” (705 million) and “Suits” (702 million). Of those, all but “True Detective” and “Monk” make the chart nearly every week. The Feb. 19-25 viewing window marked the first full week of availability of the finale of “True Detective: Night Country,” while long-concluded “Monk” is enjoying new viewership after recently being added to Netflix.
Nielsen also shared viewership statistics for the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards, which were streamed on Netflix for the first time on Feb. 24. Though the ceremony didn’t make the Nielsen Streaming Top 10, it was viewed for 170 million minutes across the night it aired and the following day. Divided by its 130-minute runtime, that marks an estimate of 1.3 million views.
