Niecy Nash-Betts Details How Travis Kelce Responded to Acting 'Suggestion'
Travis Kelce has officially made his foray into acting—and from the sounds of it, he seems to be making quite the impression already.
Having previously been the star of a reality dating show, as well as recently booking a game show hosting gig, the Catching Kelce alum is starring in yet another project, where he can really put his on-screen skills to the test.
In May, it was announced that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was cast in Ryan Murphy's FX thriller series Grotesquerie, alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Nicholas Chavez, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Raven Goodwin, Micaela Diamond and more.
Recently Nash-Betts shared how the NFL star responded to taking direction, explaining that he's "lovely on-set."
"Travis was very open. He was very open on if there was a note given or a suggestion given. So amenable. 'Tell me what I don't know. Tell me what your thought is on this,'" she recalled to People. "I love that he didn't come in trying to act like, 'I know everything and I know it all.'"

The Clean House alum added that the pro athlete was "very professional," "so receptive," and "always came prepared" to set.
"Listen, I love actors and I want you to win. So anything that I could do to help to be a part of helping you create, find moments, dial it in a little bit differently, I was completely there for it," the When They See Us actress added, further teasing, "I just think that fans are going to find him very charming in this role."
And she's not the only one singing the football star's praises.
Similarly, Chavez gave notes on Kelce that aligned with the Claws star's, saying the New Heights podcaster "handled the material like a pro. He’s awesome."
"He has such an exciting character in this show, and I think that people should be looking forward to seeing Travis shine because guy's a star," the Dahmer actor raved of his co-star.
Additionally, it seems fans will be seeing much more of Kelce on-screen, as he is set to appear in his first starring movie role, Loose Cannons.
