This Is Why Nicole Scherzinger Is Currently Facing A Whole Load Of Backlash On Social Media

Nicole Scherzinger is being heavily criticized for a comment she left on Russell Brand’s Instagram post celebrating Donald Trump’s presidential election win.

Russell marked Trump’s triumph by sharing a photo of himself holding up a red MAGA-inspired cap that read: “Make Jesus First Again.”

The British star simply added in the caption: “God Bless America.”

And people were shocked to see Nicole, who is currently performing in the Broadway production of Sunset Blvd., in the post’s comment section, with the star asking Russell: “Where do I get this hat!!!?🙏🏾❤️”

The comment has since been deleted, but a screenshot has gone viral on X amid speculation that Nicole is a Trump supporter due to the hat’s obvious homage to his controversial “Make America Great Again” caps.

Nicole was also spotted liking a post by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., which reads: “Yes, @russellbrand, @tuckercarlson, I will restore free speech, end the forever wars and protect children's health once we get @realdonaldtrump back in the White House.”

This was after Trump said during his campaign trail that he’d let Kennedy Jr. oversee multiple government sectors if he won the election — despite the politician’s reputation for regularly sharing debunked conspiracy theories and dangerous falsehoods.

People have also been left confused by Nicole’s decision to comment on Russell’s post more generally, with Russell the subject of a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary and accompanying Sunday Times article last year where multiple women accused him of rape and sexual assault.

While Nicole did not explicitly state her political leanings in the comment, one popular tweet reads: “Nicole Scherzinger being a trumpie was NOT on my bingo card.”

And many echoed this sentiment, with Nicole hotly anticipated to receive a Tony award for her Sunset Blvd. performance prior to her comment.
