The actor, 60, was seen out and about in Venice, Italy, on July 17, during a rare outing with son Kal-El Coppola.

The father-son duo was spotted walking the streets of the Italian city, where Cage wore a colorful ensemble composed of a matching shirt and shorts set, as his 18-year-old wore a black T-shirt and black pants.

Both Cage and Kal-El wore black sunglasses amid their time in the European destination.

Cage shares Kal-El with his third wife, Alice Kim. The couple were together for 12 years before they went their separate ways in January 2016.

The National Treasure star is also dad to son Weston Coppola, 33, whom he shares with Christina Fulton, and 1-year-old daughter August Francesca Coppola Cage, whom Cage welcomed with his wife, Riko Shibata, in September 2022.

The inspiration for Kal-El's name came from Cage's interest in Superman, given that Kal-El is the superhero's Kryptonian name. (Cage was initially cast to play the DC star in Tim Burton's Superman movie, which was ultimately canceled.)

Back in July 2021, Cage attended the Los Angeles premiere of his movie Pig with both of his sons by his side. Together, they all posed for a family photograph.

Cage told PEOPLE in 2022 that family always comes first for him.

"First and foremost ... there's no version of Nick Cage in reality that doesn't want to spend time with his children," he said while discussing the fictionalized version of himself that he plays in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

"There's no version of Nick Cage that didn't put family first over career," Cage continued, before detailing, "I turned down Lord of the Rings and I turned down Matrix because I didn't want to go to New Zealand for three years or Australia for three years because I needed to be home with my son Weston, that's a fact."

Speaking to Access Hollywood that same year, Cage said that he's "extremely excited" to raise another child now that his sons are older, explaining, "My boys are all grown up, and I miss going to the toy store. I miss singing lullabies and rocking in the rocking chair. I'm looking forward to getting back to that."
